About Us
Seva Samajam began its “Tryst With Destiny” in 1950. From odest beginnings in the form of a single room on fit, it has grown hugely in stature and reputation as an organisation devoted to the rehabilitation, education and upliftment of hundreds of destitute children who have no place to go.
Today, the Home houses around 200 boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 18. It is one of the few destitute homes with an in-campus school. The Lady Nye Special School has classes from 1 to 12. The School, recognised by the State Government and partially funded by it, plays an important role in moulding the children. Housemothers and staff working full time contribute greatly to the smooth functioning of the school. |
